Do we need to be home for the Installation?
Not for exterior installations. Our trained installation crews are efficient and can complete your installation regardless of your availability.
How many years have you been designing and installing Christmas Lights?
Christmas Decor of Rutherford has been installing lights since the 2006 season, giving us about two decades of experience. We’re proud to be national franchise-backed and fully insured, and we do not require any residential contracts. Flexible payment plans are also available.
What is your residential service area?
We cover the South Bergen County area including Kearny, North Arlington, Lyndhurst, Wood Ridge, Rutherford, Carlstadt, Hasbrouck Heights, Maywood, Saddle Brook, Paramus, Ridgewood, Glen Rock, River Edge & surrounding areas.
What is your commercial service area?
We cover NY, NJ and the entire tri-state area.
How much will it cost to have our home professionally decorated?
Each installation is customized to the property—so the customer can invest as much—or as little—as they want. Each proposal is presented with a number of options and we will help you build your decorating package over time.
Is there a minimum charge for residential holiday displays?
Yes. As of March 1st, 2025, our minimum order requirement is $900.00 for all residential holiday displays.
What is your maintenance policy?
We are committed to ensuring the seamless operation of your services and addressing any maintenance needs as quickly as possible. Our response times depend on the severity of the issue and the nature of the required work.We typically complete service within 24 to 78 hours for routine maintenance, weather permitting. Critical issues are given top priority to minimize any downtime.
You can trust that our team will provide prompt and effective solutions, tailored to the urgency of each situation.
Will you hang my own lights?
No. To maintain our quality standards and to properly provide the proper maintenance we will only service our commercial grade products and fasteners.
How do I get an estimate?
Please send photos of your home, via email or text to 201-966-3678. Please include your full name, the property address, along with an email and cell phone number. Everything will be priced separately for your home including roofline, windows, shrubs, wreaths, and ground lighting. Within a day or two of receiving photos, you will receive an email with your specific prices along with renderings of what the items look like on your home.
What kind of timer should I use?
We find most homeowners already have an outdoor timer. If not, purchasing a standard dawn-to-dusk outdoor timer is sufficient for your outdoor display.
Can we choose our bow color for the wreath?
Due to the high demand and timing of our holiday schedule, we offer a limited selection of bow colors for the wreaths we install. As a result, we’re unable to guarantee specific color requests this season. However, please know that each bow is thoughtfully chosen to complement your décor and create a festive, beautiful display.
For next season, depending on the timing of your booking, we may be able to accommodate specific color requests. If you’d like more information or have preferences for the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always happy to answer questions and help make your holiday decorations exactly what you envision.
Do you have a referral policy?
When a current customer refers us to a new client who completes and pays for a full install, the referring customer will receive a $200 credit toward the following year's lighting install. The referred customer must mention your name at the time of scheduling for the credit to apply. Credits are issued only after the new customer’s install is completed and paid in full, are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash. We appreciate your referrals!
